Help Out Good Friends of TSP Dr. Bones and Nurse Amy with their Kick Starter

The Survival Podcast Posted on April 29, 2014 by Modern SurvivalApril 29, 2014

Dr. Bones and Nurse Amy are great friends of both the TSP Community and personal friends of Dorothy and myself.  I had them on the show not long ago about their new survival board game kickstarter.  It was a disorganized blast as always!  The good news is their kickstarter has fully funded. Now Bones and Amy are such awesome friends that they are actually with us in Florida right now, sharing a short part of our vacation with us.  Tonight I was talking to Bones about the fact that they met their goal.  He told me that was great but … Continue reading →

I am on Vacation, Starting Now

The Survival Podcast Posted on April 22, 2014 by Modern SurvivalApril 22, 2014

At this point I am officially on vacation.  I will be as such until Sunday May the 4th.  I will do VERY BASIC daily email including very basic customer support, such as I can’t log in.  I am not doing anything else. This means, if you send me an email telling me your life story or an email with a detailed proposal in the next 12 days, likely it will be deleted.  It isn’t that I don’t care, it isn’t that I don’t normally at least scan such mails, it is that after almost two weeks the volume of actionable … Continue reading →

Episode-1339- 21 Things I Planted this Year and Why

The last few weeks have been a wirlwind of activity at the Spirko homestead.  We had a workshop where over 30 students planted about 200 or more trees and bushes.  But it didn’t stop there.  Since that time I have been busy as hell so I can take the next ten days off and soak my butt on the beach in Florida. Before I jet out in the AM, I figured a quick little recap of some of the more unique things I planted this year and why I planted them might make for a fun and more lighthearted show … Continue reading →

Some Humor and Fun – Charlie Dog Takes Out Jeff D.

The Survival Podcast Posted on April 17, 2014 by Modern SurvivalApril 17, 2014

Friend of the Spirko family Jeff D (not sure he wants his last name published so I will leave it at D) stopped by the TSP homestead. Charlie decided to have some fun, it really is a good thing Charlie is a friendly dog. Can you imagine what would have happened if this was an attack vs. just Charlie playing! FYI for drive by visitors that don’t call first! Charlie doesn’t like strangers until they are introduced, he is part of our security protocol. But as you can see once introduced he is as friendly as they come though a … Continue reading →

Episode-1336- Critical Thinking and Issue Analysis

The Survival Podcast Posted on April 17, 2014 by Modern SurvivalApril 17, 2014
https://www.survivalpodcast.net/audio/2014/4-14/epi-1336-critical-thinking-analysis.mp3

Podcast: Play in new window | Download (22.4MB)

Today I want to discuss the concept of critical thinking and how we are often led by those in power.  How many “issues” are presented to divide us yet they really shouldn’t.  Most if actually examined critically would result in people either realizing the issue doesn’t matter and nothing should be done, or in general agreeing on the solution. Those in charge can’t have this, a people divided are easily led, in fact a divided people given their consent to being controlled, having liberty taken and are in general okay with the oppression of their fellow man. Way back in … Continue reading →

Okay here is the deal, when I set up the PermaEthos Blog I did so on a shared account on one of my HostGator.com accounts.  Apparently the show today has taken it the heck out! Here is a direct link to the video promo for the PDC on YouTube.  We will move PermaEthos to our main dedicated server but we can’t do that today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLUv2gqIjsw And just to make sure here is the video in an embed in this post.
