Game Camera Activity 7-19 & 7-20

The Survival Podcast Posted on July 21, 2011 by Modern SurvivalJuly 21, 2011

Only one buck who seems to be the 8-Point from the last video showed up on 7-19 then on 7-20 we had a lot more activity. In total four bucks are seen two large 8-Points I now call “the brothers” a smaller 8-point and a 6-point. In addition to the raccoons you may also notice a rabbit as it begins to get lighter tward the end of the photos. He starts under the feeder and then ends up off to the right as the deer come back to the feeder. Life is tough for mountain rabbits they are never as … Continue reading →

From the very beginning I have made The Survival Podcast a positive presentably of survival and preparedness planning with the slogan… “Helping you live the life you want, if times get tough, or even if they don’t” It breaks all the rules of marketing for a tag line, it is too long, it is clunky and most who try to repeat it don’t get it right.  Coke’s marketing department with there slick, “It’s the Real Thing” would laugh at me as would the guys at Hertz that sum it up with “We’re #1” and the Saatchi Brothers who sum up … Continue reading →

AgriTrue – A New Standard in Agriculture

The Survival Podcast Posted on July 19, 2011 by Modern SurvivalJuly 20, 2011

This is exciting to me, for too long in my view consumers have been denied a basic level of information about where their food comes from, how it was grown and how it is treated. Additionally small scale producers have not been able to truly tell consumers why their food is better than pesticide laden, genetically modified and herbicide laced food in grocery stores.  The establishment of course has given us the “Organic” label as a solution to this problem. The problems there are many… “Organic” is OWNED by the USDA, they decide who can and can’t use it.  Yes … Continue reading →

Chef Maribel, not known for being adverse to using controversial tactics in her messaging approach, also known as the Food Diva, she is the creator of a popular online cooking school which released The Cutting Edge of Child’s Play at the Royal Fair in Toronto, November 2010. The innovative film is specifically designed to engage kids (ages 6 and up) to learn the art of knife wielding. New Video Series “Game Camera Footage”

The Survival Podcast Posted on July 13, 2011 by Modern SurvivalJuly 21, 2011

I did a video in the past of the Moultrie Deer Feeder that I have on my property.  Many people liked it but a few made what I consider stereotypical comments about how feeders are akin to shooting fish in a barrel. As I post videos from the feeder I hope to dispel some of these myths.  Feeders in and off themselves don’t turn deer into highly conditioned trained pets. That said Deer can become highly conditioned to feeders if… The land owner controls large tracts of land The land owner feeds heavily year round and The land owner maintains … Continue reading →
