School is marketed as key to success in life. Yet if we look at what defines real success and an exceptional life, much of what we are trained to do in school is an impediment to our goals.  On top of schooling be it K-12 or university we are also trained by the media, the government and “society”.   Much of this training is far more about conformity and keeping us easily controlled.

Today we discuss 20 things were are trained to believe that must be unlearned if you want full control over your life and future.

    • The purpose of the system is what it does, and it does the following…
      • Creates obedient workers
      • Creates obedient leaches on society
      • Creates class/race/sex/other division and agitates the differences
      • Provides for the illusion of intelligence via credentials
      • Places education for “the real world” in the hands of people who have never worked in the real world
    • 20 things were are trained to believe that we must unlearn for high levels of success in the “real world”
      • The proper diet is based on grains, seed oils and packaged foods
      • Don’t ask people for money or things because it is rude
      • Obey people with titles, positions and letters after their names
      • Text books are never wrong
      • People who follow the expectations of the crowd do the best in life
      • Failure is bad and should always be avoided
      • There is always one right answer to any question or problem
      • Working with others helping you is cheating
      • Your worth is measured by grades and the approval of others with authority
      • Memorizing a thing is equal to being educated about a subject
      • Wait to be chosen for things, positions, opportunities, etc.
      • Don’t admit that you don’t know things you are expected to know
      • Everyone is equal and qualifies for your time and attention at the same level
      • Avoid taking risks
      • Equality is possible and equity is noble & virtuous
      • Focus and work the hardest on your weaknesses
      • School equals education
      • Conforming to the group consensus is the formula for success
      • Ask permission before you start things
      • Success is linear
      • Final thoughts – You can’t remove these things from a system that requires them to exist
