Sometimes we get too caught up in the shiny objects. Fancy gear, endless debates about calibers, arguing over which solar generator is best. None of that means a damn thing if you haven’t handled the basics. So today I’m stripping it all back. Just me, answering 12 straight questions that will get anyone into the right mindset when it comes to prepping.

This is the episode you send to the guy who says, “Why should I prep? Nothing ever happens here.” Really? Tell that to people in Maui who watched their homes go up in flames, or the folks in East Palestine choking on chemical smoke, or families in Texas who lost everything to floodwaters a few months back. That mindset of “it won’t happen to me” is exactly why so many people get blindsided.

With the year winding down, this is a damn good time to take stock. Look at where you are. What you’ve handled. What you’ve let slide. Doesn’t matter if you’re brand new or ten years deep, this one’s going to help you lock things in.
