Episode-1109- John Titus on the Movie “Bailout”

Titus During the Filming of "Bailout"

Titus During the Filming of “Bailout”

John Titus is a lawyer, licensed before the U.S. Supreme Court, who’s practiced patent litigation for over 15 years. In 2011-12, he took a break from his practice to make a feature-length film, Bailout, about the real cause of the financial crisis: criminal fraud.

The film features interviews with truth tellers Dylan Ratigan, Karl Denninger, Chris Whalen, Yves Smith, Sheriff Tom Dart, and others. He is now working on a TV-safe version of the film to be released later this year.

John joins us today to discuss what actually caused the financial crisis because it isn’t what the TV told you.  Why he went to the expense and trouble of making a film.   What distinguishes Bailout from other financial crisis films and the direct cause and effect relationship between Wallstreet elites and the crisis.

I think you will be intrigued when I ask him how many bankers should be in jail a you hear the math behind his response.  We also will discuss how this crisis will end and the sad answer can be summed up as bad or worse.

Before becoming a lawyer, John worked as a circuit designer for motors used on the Space Shuttle and space station. He was a free market Republican until the party betrayed itself as a total sham in 2008 by getting TARP passed.

Episode-1103- David Crawford and Glenn Tate on One Show? Only at TSP!

David Crawford contacted me a couple weeks ago and asked me to get the word out that “Lights Out” is being made into a full on big screen film in cooperation with Travis Sparks who has purchased the rights to the film.

We have David and Travis booked for a full interview in June (as early as the schedule permits) but I wanted to get them on for a short segment today and let you guys know about the project and how you can be a part of it.

Next up we have Glen Tate author of  The 299 Days Series. Glen has some announcements and also has just released book 5 in the 10 book series.  The 299 Days story is a realistic look at what Glen and I both consider an unavoidable reckoning as our fallacy of an economy one day hits solid economic reality.

Today Glen and I discuss many current events such as the BRICS banking initiative, the expansion of the Panama canal and the robber barren model for failed banks in Cyprus and how those events relate to the insider view Glen is privy to in his job.

Episode-1102- Thoughts and Consideration with a Move to a New State

Walking To Freedom has gotten off to a great start with citizens helping citizens already in a quest to find a home with more of the freedoms that are important to them.  This has prompted a lot of questions in my direction about one state vs. the next.

Frankly I think the entire point of the WTF forum is so people that actually live in or have lived in said states can give you the reality on the ground but I will do my best today to provide a mile high overview of what I would personally consider.

I also want to remind everyone even if you are 100% happy where you are and not going anywhere we need you at the WTF project.  We need on the ground state ambassadors to make a case for your state and to help others in their evaluation.

  • You can’t go on statistics alone
  • The considerations of family and friends
  • Considerations of climate
  • What do you really want in life
  • What freedoms are important to you
  • What type of home do you want

Episode-1097- How A Libertarian Society Would Function

We have had some pretty good discussions about libertarian concepts on the blog here in a very old article I posted almost 4 years ago.  I guess something  happened a lot of new people found it.  What I am coming to understand is many see libertarianism, objectivity and anarchism as the same things, they are not the same things.

Many how would ______ get accomplished questions about libertarianism don’t actually apply to minarchist libertarianism.  So today I am going to discuss how a society that is at least moving in the direction of libertarianism would function and how things would get done and how our lives would be better for it.

Join Me Today to Discuss…

  • On Libertarianism
    • What is a libertarian
    • How do we differ from democrats, independents and republicans
    • What do libertarians really want
    • What is the libertarian view of social issues like marijuana and gay marriage
    • Is there any room  for any form of taxation in a libertarian system
    • Could an “income tax” ever be fair
    • How would we run a food system in a libertarian system
    • How would we run a banking system in a libertarian system
    • How would we “build schools and roads” in such a system
    • What safety net would exist for the truly disadvantaged
    • How is this related to self sufficiency, self reliance and independence

Episode-1088- Patrick Barron from DefiningTheMachine.com

The Machine is Why Nothing Changes

The Machine is Why Nothing Changes

Pat Barron is a former Independent candidate for congress in 2010,with over 25 years of experience working within both public and private mental health settings.

Currently, Pat works for the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health.  Pat’s experience as a trained clinician, has helped to not only treat the symptoms of a problem, but to identify/understand the complex causes of the problem, and then find the straightest path to both stability and success.

In the 2010 congressional election Pat Barron was an Independent candidate in the 3rd district against incumbent James McGovern and Republican Marty Lamb. Pat ran as a true outsider to Washington D.C. and political partisanship.

Pat believes reform in Washington DC is the only solution to all our issues ranging from healthcare to infrastructure, to national defense. The current climate of partisanship, gridlock, national debt and congressional approval ratings in the teens substantiate this belief.

Since the last election Pat Barron has been hard at work researching and developing a seminar he is now offering called “Defining the Machine”

Episode-998- Solutions to Some of the Big Problems

Last week I had a great interview with James Howard Kunstler, a man I find interesting yet I also find many places where we disagree.  Many wondered why I allowed some of his comments to go unchallenged, the reality is simple, I don’t bring guests on for debate sparing.  I bring them on to give their view and trust that the audience will distill what they need, as each individual sees fit.

I also have been around long enough to understand that it is a sorry ass weak mind that can’t stand to listen to a differing opinion.  It is an even weaker mind that can’t learn from that opinion, even if it is wrong.  Each individual perceives every problem, event, item, reality etc. from their own point of bias.  If you only see the point of a nail and I only see the head, neither of us really knows what the nail looks like, but together we are much closer to the picture of what the whole is all about.

Episode-985- From Pawn to Personal Sovereignty

If You Wish to be Free - First Understand You are a Pawn

If You Wish to be Free – First Understand You are a Pawn

I chose the title today in spite of the wackos at the fringe of the “sovereign citizen movement”, not because of them.  In may ways those people have polluted the concept of personal sovereignty but no other phrase really applies to what I want to discuss with you today.

Personal sovereignty basically means “self ownership” and as such is much larger then any political statement.  Someone who truly lives their life based on self ownership must carry far more responsibility then just telling others that they won’t do as commanded.  The individual sovereign much accept that if they fail the failure is theirs and it will be up to them to get up and try again.  They realize any help by any other party will be voluntarily and not something they are entitled to.

They will carry a burden that due to this they must also have a responsibility to help others in need, to do what is right for simply the sake of right.  They can’t rely on others to tell them when to give, what to give, how much to give or who deserves their help.  They must be responsible for themselves, their families, their communities and their nation as a whole.  The problem is today, most people even those who believe they are “free” are pawns on a giant chess board.  Just as the drug addict must first admit to being a drug addict before he can become free of drugs, so must we admit first that we are pawns if we wish to claim our birth rights of personal sovereignty.

Join Me Today As I Discuss…

  • The blog post that led to this
  • What our nation claims to be vs. what it is
  • Why you must first accept you are a pawn if you want to be free
  • Why you have to let go of all dogmatic beliefs when they are proven false
  • What is personal sovereignty
  • What are your responsibilities as someone who owns yourself
  • How do you break the chains that keep you on the game board
  • What hope do we have if we indeed are all pawns?  A lot!

Join Me Today for a Freestyle Edition of TSP

Today we are going to just free style things and talk about some recent events, some recent news and some upcoming changes at TSP and for myself as well.

One thing I will never do is apologize for who I am, what I stand for or how I present it, unless I am factually wrong or truly make a mistake.  It is a piss poor man that can’t admit to being wrong.

However, I will often explain why something is the way it is or why it is presented the way it is for the sake of clarity and for the genuine respect of the audience, so I have some of that to do as well today.

How's This for a Choice?

How's This for a Choice?

Once in a while I just need to take the time to chat with you guys about what is going on and perhaps clean up some things from past episodes as well.

Today is such a day.  Likely as in most instances when I speak my mind I will tick some of you off, hence I ask you to listen to the second bullet point today with your heart and truly think about something I am going to describe and ask you to consider.

Survival is not just waking up alive the next day, plenty of people will survive the coming economic collapse for instance but how much misery will they endure that could be avoided, we will examine that and many other things today.  Hope you enjoy the show.

Episode-818- Greg Yows of Revolution Rock and Roll

Find all of Greg's Music at RevolutionRockAndRoll.com

I am really excited to welcome Greg Yows to The Survival Podcast.  Greg is a great friend to both the show and me personally.  Together we wrote “The Revolution is You” our show theme.

When asked about himself Greg says,

“I am a simple songwriter. The hippies in the 60s had their “protest” bards in the form of Bob Dylan, The Byrds, Janice Joplin, John Lennon, Joan Baez…the list goes on. Now, I ain’t claimin’ to have their skill. But I have just as much passion for my cause. And that cause is making sure my kids enjoy freedom from the tyrannical, over-taxing, nanny-state governments that are currently plaguing our nation.

I hail from the piney-woods of East Texas where the fishing is amazing but the county was dry. So here I am in Austin, a computer programmer by day and musician at night…cranking out patriot songs between honey-dos, working on my preps, gardening, fishing and taking care of my two kids.”

Join Greg and I today was we discuss his music at Revolution Rock and Roll, some of the other things he is currently working on, the role of our military, life as a prepper and more.
