Episode-2235- Total Freedom Though Honest Personal Branding

I don’t talk about it much but I am told oh 20 times a month on average things like,

  • I am doing it wrong (as in this show)
  • Someone is going to contact my sponsors to tell them I am offensive
  • If I continue to do things this way it will be “the end of TSP”
  • I need to think like Reagan and build a “bigger tent”
  • Get this one, “I have a public responsibility to make TSP more listener friendly”
  • Oh and it just goes on and on and on and on

The real irony is when some dip shit gets offended, tells me off and I tell them to go screw and they say something like, “wow what happened to you, this isn’t like you”.  I am very tempted to ask these people what the hell they are smoking and could I please have some.

Take a look at our disclaimers and policies page, the current version of this page was published on 1-1-11, hey I like numeric patterns.  One of the most recent pathetic mental breakdowns was from Episode 2223, where I used the “F word” about a dozen or so times to drive home the point about how schools are creating these school shootings and the fact that 5,000 youths a year kill themselves and over 30,000 attempt suicide.  Now pardon my view but if there was ever a place for the F word, that is it!

That said I generally don’t use that word on the air, so when I did I did the following…

  1. Marked the episode explicit
  2. Announced on air that it was coming and to skip ahead if you didn’t want to hear it

Now keep in mind in my disclaimers it says among other things, the following and has since January of 2011, which is seven years ago!

“We believe in freedom here, if you choose to listen to our show you do so as a free human being on planet earth and therefore we are not responsible for any “mental anguish”, “mental trauma”, “feeling of being offended” or any other emotional problems that you get from doing so.”

I have to say that is about as honest and clear cut as it can be!  The beauty though of always being yourself is when such assclowns attempt to harm you, all they can really do is build you up, and that is the magic of building honest personal brand.  The key word there is honest!  Anyway since I am going to be gone until the 25th on vacation after today I thought may be we could have a fun show and one that can change your life if you choose to act on it.

Episode-2104- Nicole Sauce on the Prepping Mindset in Business

Nicole Sauce has had side hustles going her whole life. She developed a love of good food – and great coffee – in the Pacific Northwest. She started her career as a high school teacher, but quickly realized that system was so broken that she needed to do something more meaningful.

After 8 years of executive coaching for expatriates, Nicole discovered a world of libertarian policy think tanks and her life changed. For 13 years, Nicole has worked with public policy organizations that seek to make government smaller. However, working in the system against the system accepts their rules. Along the way, she fled the intolerance of Oregon for a more hospitable Tennessee.

Nicole loves showing people how to do forgotten homesteading arts such as canning and preserving, cheese-making, meat processing and more.

Nicole Sauce has a growing podcast, Living Free in Tennessee, has launched a local coffee roasting business, and provides marketing and communications support as well as website development services to folks who want to start their own side – or main – hustle.

Episode-1460- The Effective Marketing of a Permaculture Farm with Stefan Sobkowiak

Stefan Sobkowiak of Miracle Farms

Stefan Sobkowiak of Miracle Farms

Twenty years ago, Stefan Sobkowiak bought a commercial apple orchard with the intention of converting it to an organic orchard. He did just that, but eventually understood the limitations of the organic model originating from monoculture.

He then decided to tear out most of the trees and replant in a way that would maximize biodiversity and yield while minimizing the amount of maintenance required. Inspired by permaculture principles, the orchard now counts over 100 cultivars of apples, plums, pears, cherries, and countless other fruits and vegetables.

Today’s Steven returns to TSP to discuss the multidimensional harvest of a permaculture farm or orchard and how to effectively market the production profitably.

Episode-1214- Life After Awakening

Once you take the red pill, you can't go back, ever.

Once you take the red pill, you can’t go back, ever.

In the movie the Matrix the hero Neo is offered a choice by his mentor Morpheus,

“This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill – the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill – you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.”

The issue is, once you take that red pill and wake up into reality, you can never go back.  It is a fundamental change and the real horrors of the world along with the real beauty will forever be known to you.  While we are not in a world run by machines and used as batteries the metaphor of the movie is quite fitting.

The Original Blue Pill

Valium – Is The Blue Pill

We live in a world where the masses are the tools of the elite, the controls are taxes, debt, consumerism, marketing, leveraged jealously, class warfare and false dichotomy.  Once you see this, it is over, you can’t ever go back, just like Neo, take the red pill and you have made a permanent choice.

Then you have something interesting to contend with, the people around you are popping blue pills daily.  Most people hear blue pill and think of viagra, though it wasn’t popular when the story was created.  The most famous blue pill at the time the matrix was written, was, Valium.  Think about that!
