The Dash Mini Waffle Maker – Item of the Day — 8 Comments

  1. Can you make these ahead and reheat in toaster?  If so, would make a very quick breakfast for busy mornings. Thanks for your reply!

    • Yes you can but we get better results reheating in the waffle iron which heats up really fast and is just as quick but works better. Have also heard from others that do this but make a bunch and freeze them who say they keep fine like that, but I have not tried it. I can honestly whip them up fast enough that I only store them when I have to use of batter and don’t eat them all. Like this am I made them for Dorothy and I two was not enough so I made a double batch and got 5 plus a baby one. Stored the extras.

  2. Thanks for the tip Jack.  I just bought one of these and had only made the cheese and egg version.  I loved it until i tried your version minus the xanthan gum.  So good.  I added a pinch each of onion and garlic powder to the batter and it was so good.

  3. Thanks jack for this recommendation. We bought 2 out of the gate. AMAZING!!!

we could not find the Sargento but we did find this fiesta breakfast blend marketed by Taco Bell with bacon and smoke flavor and while I cannot compare the two this made a great breakfast chaffle. My infant is running around devouring one as I type.

This was a perfect purchase and just get 2 you’ll thank jack.

  4. I bought mine at Target a couple months ago.  My first chaffles were just 1 egg, 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella, garlic powder and italian seasoning.  I rolled it over a few chunks of Sam’s club rotisserie chicken.  It was like eating chicken on garlic bread.  So far I’ve only made savory versions.  Have not tried anything sweet yet.

    • I have tried it, I don’t really like it they are never the same again after they cool. The solution, make up enough batter for a few days, put it in the fridge, they take almost no time to make on the waffle iron, about 4 minutes total time. That way you have fresh ones all the time. The batter gets thicker to that way, less runny, crips even more.
