  1. When using seed for consumption, be sure you sprout them first to unlock the protein for absorption, Vitamin C, and to multiply the B vitamins by several fold.

    Martha H. Oliver, author of Add a Few Sprouts talks about sprouting to decrease anti-nutrients and increase many vitamins including Vitamin C, and nearly all the B vitamins. Many of the vitamins we need aren’t even known yet, so getting them from such a concentrated food source is an important addition to our everyday diet. She goes into the history of sprouts citing how Captain Cook used barley sprouts to cure scurvy on his voyages. I added a link to the article I found.
