Great episode. I have a question for Ron Hood concerning a mishap that I find troubling, that being the death of James Kim (http://news.cnet.com/James-Kim-found-deceased/2100-1028_3-6141498.html). What happened? What went through this mans' mind, and what should have?
At the moment of being stalled in the snow, what should this man have had with him, and what should he have done to get rescued?

Jack, that was a grand finale to an awesome week. Kinda makes me want to plan an overnight during deer season...Well maybe not just yet, but definitely going to bone up on some "skills". Thanks

This show was AWESOME!!! Ron was hilarious!!! Loved the swine flu thing, too. I don't have time to prioritize what I liked & why, but suffice to say I'll listen to it again.

What Ron said about lock picking....very true! They take me < 15 seconds when I've been practicing. Your off-the-shelf house lock takes <45 seconds. (For educational purposes only, of course...) I've done it with a pick set and also with a paperclip/screwdriver.

Have him back!

This show was definitely in one of my top ten highest points of TSP today. Working with Ron was very easy to do and talking to him made me feel like we have known each other our entire lives. He has already mailed me to let me know he is looking forward to a return visit. So ya'll send me some questions for him, ya hear.

@sis, e-e-easy now (said like Toby Keith) I think Jeanette was being silly not snide. Didn't pull it off I will admit but text is the lowest form of communication. However, if she was being snide, then that was damn well put.

Great show Jack and Ron.

Very funny and you played off each other very well, while giving out good information.

Knowing both of you made it even better for me, it was like some of the conversations we have had. Lots of fun.

??? Jeanette - if you think that Ron Hood is not about serious prepping, you obviously have never watched his videos or read his forum, or seen anything on his website. I didn't hear one word about camping in that podcast. The attitude that some people have about laughing not being appropriate in a podcast is just.... well... You just take yourself way too seriously. That's all there is to it.

Everybody here needs to invest some money into Ron & Karin Hood's business. I can't even tell you how much stuff of theirs that TW and I have bought, and every single thing has been worth way more than we paid for it. And that's not even to mention the fact that both Ron and Karin are fantastic people, and will answer any questions you might have about their work.

Jack - this is possibly my number one favorite TSP episode ever. I am a huge fan of the Hoodlums, and I sincerely appreciate the justice that you did Ron and Karin, and their forum. It made me laugh, it made me think, and hell, I got a discount at Hoods Woods. :D

Thank you very much for doing this interview. You rock. :) :) :)

I don't think I've laughed this hard at one of the podcasts, ever. Sauteed rat? Swine flu jokes? "Oh no, Little Timmy's Wii doesn't work!"

I had to pause more than once, I couldn't hear the podcast for my own cackling.

Outstanding show Jack and Ron! Would love to hear you two team up for more work!
