I’ll have to listen to this again now that I’m at the computer and can write down your “ingredients.” I need to get on the ball and get my raised garden beds finished. Just planted 10 fruit trees–this is my first year with a yard, so I’ve got catch up planting to do, heh.

I’m not sure if you’ve talked about the droughts we’re looking at around the world for this year, but here’s a link and more reason than ever to get the backyard garden growing:

@Loren, Good find! That blows this did not come to me as a typical chain it was reported as a direct contact. What it looks like is the predictions are real but the proposed credentials are in question. I honestly don't think it is far off though.

I digged the show. Fortunately, though, the email threat predictions from “Golda Meir’s bodyguard” are exaggerated. Check out http://www.snopes.com/rumors/soapbox/juvalaviv.asp I like to check out any chain email I hear about or receive by searching Snopes because they do their own research.

Great show, sorry we missed the expletive fest! Can you post your compost "recipe" online, so it's more accessible? I'd like to send it to my parents, but usually can't take notes while I'm listening because I'm driving home at the time. Stuff like this would be nice to have in text format rather than just audio.

I have gone dumpster diving when I was short on produce to add to my compost pile. It can really jump start things when you add the "waste" that the grocery stores throw out.

GREAT SHOW. AS LONG AS YOUR NOT SICK URINE IS A SOURCE OF NITROGEN, EXPECIALLY FOR SQUASH. DON'T FORGET TO KEEP A USED FOOD BLENDER AND BLENDING ALL OF YOUR FOOD WASTES. THE SMALLER THE FOOD PARTICLE THE QUICKER THEY BREAKDOWN AND FASTER WORMS WILL EAT THE STUFF. I COMPOST BETWEEN THE ROWS OF FOOD, WHERE I WALK. IT IS LESS WORK. i FILL UP THE DEPRESSIONS BETWEEN THE ROWS OF CROPS ALL SUMMER LONG. MOST PEOPLE DON'T REALIZE THAT WITH OUT WORMS YOU CAN'T EXPECT A GOOD ORGANIC CROP.
