Camp Chef Ranger II Table Top Stove – Item of the Day — 13 Comments

  1. Jack, can this be used indoors like the mr buddy heater? I have a cabin I am trying to get a cook stove in and would love to skip putting in a full size lp stove.
    Thanks

  2. Excellent! I also have a cabin that needs a new stove, but doesn’t have room for a full range.

    Thanks Jack!

    • You know what, this is great for a use like that. Thanks for pointing it out.

  3. Looks like a nice neat cooker, I am fully with the idea of cooking outside on a nice day, sort of like camping but with the convience of being at home.

I am not familiar with the brass coupler fitting (probable because I am in Europe), any idea is it aprox 1/4 inch, 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch outer diameter ?

Which end of the brass coupler goes to the small bottle?

  4. I use a Coleman version for canning during in the late summer. Keeps the heat out of the kitchen!

  5. Unfortunately, you will need to purchase an adapter kit that will enable for the coooking of recipes that require parsley when none is available. Currently the missing carrot adapter is sold out, so make sure that you have plenty of carrots in your pantry.

  6. If you want to run a small can… use the old backpacker trick… put the can in a bowl of water.  Warm is best… it’ll keep the propane from freezing up.
