So once again thumbing their noses at the American People the Congress and the Senate have passed another huge “bail out” and this time called it a stimulus.  I am fed up and I have a few ideas for what we can start doing about it.  I am asking today for your collective ideas for LEGAL civil disobedience and statements to remind these assholes, who they work for.

If you have listened to this show often you know I am not a big believer in man made climate change.  I think the more evidence we look at the more we can see how little humans actually effect the climate.  I just started watching the documentary “Little Ice Age: Big Chill” again though and it has reinforced my belief that.

  1. The Climate Does Change and at Times Very Quickly
  2. The Fact that the Climate Has Changed in the Past, Means it will Again
  3. We Can’t Stop Climate Change
  4. So We Must Accept the Threat as Real and Make it Part of Our Planning

Can an individual alone secede from the current system of politics and government support?  Yes I believe that you can.  It is not “un American” or a “renouncement of citizenship” and it isn’t anything like a state seceding from The Union.

No instead it is an affirmation of citizenship and the responsibility that goes with it.  Today I start off answering a question about Mitchell Fishing reels from an earlier episode, get into more on the Trillion Dollar Stimulus and end up with my personal declaration of independence from “the systems”.

I ask you to listen and consider what I am saying, I will be formalizing this “act of secession” this weekend and asking others to join in.

Today I was simply going to talk about storing food and how to build up a good storage program.  Yet today some things have popped up that have made me need to also discuss some “slight of hand” relating to the new Trillion (yes trillion) Dollar Stimulus Package.

  • Nancy P states 500 million a month to loose jobs a month in a country with only 300 million people in total, what does this tell us
  • There is a “new” law capping the compensation of any executive running a company taking “bail out money”, didn’t we do that already?  – YES WE DID!
  • How writing a law is like creating a predator and must be looked at that way
  • How the new law about executive pay has no fangs or claws and what that tells us about the motivation behind it

On Storing Food

  • Storm kits in Arkansas and Kentucky MIGHT contain samonela infected penut butter!  This is why you must store your own emergency food
  • Building a basis with rice, beans and pasta and adding variety to that

  • Adding canned meat as a component
  • Producing your own food with gardens and permaculture
  • Learning methods of preservation
  • Dealing with local sources of food now before you need them
  • Adding fishing, hunting and foraging to the mix
  • The addition of small live stock such as rabbits, chickens or ducks
