The show notes will be brief today because not much is required.  Today I will talk about the first Thanksgiving and some of the truth and some of the myth that has become part of the holiday.  I will also give you a unique view of Thanksgiving from the eye of early Americans that were truly “ants preparing for winter”.  I will also tell you how Thanksgiving spread across America over time and is not just a tradition but part of the healing our nation did after the Civil War and really lasted up into the 1980s.
